Bart MacDonald is a Georgia native and believes the most important aspect of being a doctor is care and compassion for the patient. He developed a passion for brain tumors after his father was diagnosed with a brain tumor early in his life. Serving as a caregiver during his father’s recovery gave Dr. MacDonald unique insights into the challenges families face in similar situations and inspired his medical education toward a focus on brain tumors, brain cancer and spinal cancer. For over a decade, Dr. MacDonald has been simplifying a complex field, helping his patients understand their condition and treatment options. He specializes in neuro-oncology (brain tumors), pituitary tumors, vestibular schwannoma, robotic and complex spinal surgery, stereotactic micro neurosurgery for brain and spine, and stereotactic radiosurgery (Gamma Knife). In his spare time, Dr. MacDonald enjoys spending time with his family, visiting to the mountains or a quick hike to the Sawnee Mountain Indian Seats.
